Lazy Sunday Afternoon

Before we left for the day to fellowship with our friends, we packed a lunch along with some firewood, roasting sticks and chairs - looking forward to some family time after a busy week.

It always amazes me to see these ancient homesteads along the way.  This one even had the car parked in front.  Definitely worth turning around on the highway to get another look.  If only we could 'hear' the past.

It didn't take us too long to get a fire going when we arrived at Miquelon Lake Provincial Park which is only about a half hour drive from our home.  I did, however, forget the matches once again!
Over the years, we've perfected the fine art of starting a campfire with the cigarette lighter in the car
so my forgetfulness didn't cost us our hotdog roast.  :-)

Next thing we know, Brian is snoring up a storm and so Faith and I
decide to sneak off for a 'photo shoot' next to the lake.

Here it is in April, and she's barefoot already!
It was a little windy, but it made for better pictures.
 Freedom!

p.s.  I hope you take the time to look at these pictures in my actual blog and not just in your email... it just looks so much better with the frames around the pictures, I think anyway :-)
