My Favourite Things # 1

I'm thinking that this year I'm going to feature my favourite things of the year - as it goes by.  Sometimes it will be a picture, sometimes an object, a person, an event and the like.  Hopefully I can keep it up to some degree and it'll be fun to look back once the year is over.

I should probably have a token item here to start the year off...

How about the fact that it's only -3C on January 2nd!
